Liking the math Doc!!
Liking the math Doc!!
Three hours on the boards again, still being careful and taking it easy, but lasted better than last week, so progerss is being made
That superman position is REALLY uncomfortable, don't know how he managed to last... and riding on the track, fixed, can't be compared to riding on rollers or the turbo on a roadbike...
It would have been interesting to see what Chris could have done in an hour on a set of rollers. It would have been far higher than 38.7mph
I dont suppose he spent the odd minute or two doing no hands either to change tunes on his I Pod or ease his back. If you drop down to 80rpm you hit 30mph. Anyone who rides the rollers over time knows that just riding at one cadence becomes boring. You have to do intervals.
You dont need to really debate it. Riding rollers for an hour is far piss easy than riding the boards for an hour.

Half an hour on the rollers on the track bike.
Fine tuned its setup, as I didn't change anything since I bought t from my friend and my @rse keeps getting sore... May have something to do with the new saddle, but... The saddle needed moving forwards by almost an inch! That has cleared it me thinks, as was comfy on the rollers...
Steady pace with 15 seconds full out blasts every 5 minutes. It is clearthe knee isn't keen on high cadence riding yet...
Conversion from roadie to proper trackie has begun! Planning on doing 4 track sessions a week from now on, with a dedicated training schedule to become a proper sprinter! From a world champion in his age group, so worth a try me thinks!
I also fancy this:

Just 35 mins on turbo with two and a half flat out followed by same time recovery.
5 sets and HR maxed at 174bpm
Latest copy of rouleur popped through the door today. No cycling, to busy reading. Brilliant as usual.
Nice article about ian field doing his cyclocross in flanders.
Rouleur is well posh, but a bit expensive I think... Lovely photography though!
First ever cyclocross today. Ave heart rate was 169bpm & I peaked at 180. It was muddy, windy & the first 2 finishers lapped me. I'd probably have been faster running.
I'll sleep well tonight.
Anyone ever pushed a ring as big as this:w00t:
The answer is no Steve!!! That is a monster!
Couple of hours on the boards for me again tonight... still feeling like a weaklingI know I am being impatient as I have only just started riding the track again 1.5 weeks ago, but still... It is hard to see how poorly you perform compared to others that are usually not as strong as you
