    Re: Are Park Runs Destructive

A lovely sunny run at Woodbank today, even though my fingers nearly dropped off in the chilly morning air on the 45 minute cycle over.
Felt nice and relaxed and warmed up on the run, managing to do my best Woodbank time for over 2 years, and wasn't even flatout.
Maybe I should ditch the car and take the bike more often.
Does anyone else cycle to any parkruns, and if so do you find it's a good warm-up and good for your times? I'd be interested to know.
Seamless, faultless, organisation from the Woodbank crew of volunteers again, and super quick results. Cycled back home and logged on and they are up on the website already, way before noon! Wow. Beat that any morning fell race.
PS. I was just saying to some clubmates last week - I wonder how long it will be before a fell race trials a token-barcode system in the finish funnel? :closed:
