Egor, I got 23.57 miles & 5943 feet of ascent using a Garmin 405. Looks like you ran farther & me higher ! Are you sure you reached all the summits ? Lol !

Ady, I was race number 485. Haven't managed to see myself thus far on your 900+ photos ! I was either too fast or too slow ! If you do have a photo somewhere, that would be great, cheers ! Great photos by the way.

My target was to meet the cut offs and I was ok till after Ribblehead. I clawed my way up Whernside then with mounting cramp and 25 minutes to go somehow got down to the Hill Inn with a minute and a half to spare. This felt almost better than my time last year- 46 minutes faster! Still I've got the T shirt and I'm wearing it!

A superb race, in great conditions, if a little warm at times. Support around the course was excellent. I had a bit of a tough race early on, but just managed to make the cut offs, and finished fairly strongly.

Thanks to the organisers and marshalls.

A set of photos, taken around the route, is here:

Well that's only my second "real" fell race & I can honestly say it was the hardest thing I've ever done - Loved it!!! I just wanted to get round & thought if I could get anywhere near 4.30 I'd be over the moon. Managed to get 4.24 so ecstatic! Bloody warm but I had to force myself to drink, I struggle to drink on the run, but took about 2 litres on including 1 litre of Nuun. Cramp didn't get me so I'm assuming it was either that or the silly £3.99 Aldi compression I decided to wear "just in case".

The route was superbly marshalled & supported, it's a great boost when you're knackered to see someone cheering you on & holding jelly babies & kendal mint cake - that's just what I needed on the way up Inglebro'!!

Well done to all finishers, commiserations to those who didn't - I think my t-shirt'll rot off my back!

It got to the point every time I dropped back 30 seconds or so just to give me ears a rest from the inane prattle, he would slow down so I caught up. Finally with too miles to go I got with with a well aimed rock over 60ft to the back of the head (the hand grenade throwing competition I took part in last week at my brothers medal parade was very helpful). Unfortunately the rock didn't explode and he got up and begged I run with him incase he got concussion, then immediately buggered off , being very careful to keep out of his way I finished 41 seconds or so behind him.
At least you didn't have him in the car with you on the way home

I thought the journey home was one of the best bits, I've never flown Snail airlines before. It was nice to get home before I'd set off. Weoooow

Had factor 15 on but the before and after picks show some good tanning. First fell race I've done in sunglasses. Felt like it was a bit against fell running etiquette but a good decision on the day!

Bearing in mind that was the longest I have run since the OMM in October I'm pretty pleased. Even though we were nudging five hours, we still managed a Michael McIntyre skip across the line !!
