    Unlucky Adrian,

I find with ankles that its best to keep them moving.

Not an injury as such but I had an appendectomy on Monday at about 12pm! It was a laparascopic one so I've not had a lot of pain - swellings almost gone as well. Might go for a jog tomorrow! Gulp!

Back from 3 hours in A & E as advised by physio after seeing ankle injury from HPM. They x-rayed and are not sure but I may have fractured my ankle along with significant trauma to the ligaments as the doc said. They reckon my ligaments could have pulled a bit of bone away from my ankle.

Off to see a specialist with x-rays in hand to get a final decision on Wednesday. Narrowly avoided a pot on my leg as I was able to hobble along with only a slight grimace.

Thats spring knackered then. Roll on June

Well back from the Orthopedic department and I now have an air boot on there for the next 4 weeks minimum. Also a fair bit of physio booked.

Nothing broken but he said my ankle was "battle scarred" whilst he pointed out fragments of bone in it from previous injuries. I also have a mis-shapen ankle from untreated breaks which has healed in a strange way but is still full function if a little un-orthodox.

Haven't really took a significant hammering on it since teenage years and basketball days but must have had bits of floating bones and breaks in there since then.

So longer than I though before I am back. Also means no biking in the mean time. Specialist warned that if I do come back too fast it may knacker my ankles permanently and require either to stop running or surgery so will be following the instructions to the letter.
