Well said daz; I personally don't like them but those really, really light and flimsy waterproof jackets almost certainly satisfy the most stringent of kit checks but fold up tiny. When it boils down to it in most cases what we're talking about here is waterproof tops and bottoms which, in the scheme of things don't weigh very much anyway. If I stuff just my waterproofs into a bum bag, even my "massively heavy" ones, my drag coefficient probably increases by 0.000000000000000000001%..... and I can live with that
